The SLAG idea of surrealism is naive, blundering and horribly idealistic. In a word, false.

You don't seem to understand that there are those of us surrealists out here regularly having a good belly laugh at your expense. You are making fools of yourselves!

Please, continue...

so... anonymous..what exactly is the surrealism?

Dear Anonymous

I've been attacking these charlatans for some time now. I'm pleased that someone's finally had the courage to stand up openly and support me.

Where can I see your work? It would be such a relief to see some sophisticated, well-executed artwork untainted by idealism.

Yours in Solidarity

Piet

what exactly is the connection between this stalinist picture and surrealism?

This is the kind of "art" that Breton fought against. Why did you post this?

Well, despite the irony of the title, it obviously can't have been as any kind of joke, what with Surrealism as a movement being so famously devoid of a sense of humour, eh?
