This is a great post.
I had no idea there was such a thing as a "national poetry day" in your country - what a drastic contradiction in terms!
In Sweden a few days ago we celebrated the national cinnamon roll day - simply commercial yes, but when considering that the 4th of October was previously the emblematic day of upper-class extraparliamentary struggle, with the huge 4/10 demonstrations against social democratic "employee funds" in the 80s, one wonders whether it is a big conspiracy for establishing unconscious associations between businessmen and cinnamon rolls, or a triumph of pastry desire?
This is the blog of SLAG ~ SURREALIST LONDON ACTION GROUP. Here you will find the group's theoretical writings, political statements and creative works, as well as occasional contributions from our Surrealist friends worldwide. SLAG was formally dissolved in a ritual of love, destruction and creation on 22 January 2016. To find out what happened next, or to get involved, email t6u6l6s AT gmail.com.
